Job Description: Children’s Ministry, (ages 0-4thgrade)
Principal Function:  To provide a loving, safe and exciting environment for children in order to connect them to the Living God, Jesus Christ.  The goal is to see every child have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as well as be deeply rooted in the Word of God.
Responsibilities:
1) Planning Sunday and Wednesday lessons for each age group by preparing / presenting the children with an exciting message that is full of scripture and that they can use in their every day lives.
2) Pray for the children throughout the week
3) Organizing and give direct supervision to volunteers
4) Planning and executing a VBS / Sports Camp program annually
5) Planning and executing a Christmas program
6) Planning and executing any extra parties or events (Christmas, Easter, Back to School, etc.)
7) Updating all bulletin boards and media to send to families
8) Staying in contact with parents about their children and their families needs
9) Prepare and manage an annual budget for the Children’s Ministry
10) Attend weekly staff meetings, annual staff retreats, special called meetings and other staff related functions
11) Provide the Pastor with reports.
12) Keep updated on current trends and techniques of Children’s Ministries through continuing education.

 Nursery Ministries: (ages 0- 2yrs old)Direct Supervisor: Children’s Ministry Team Leader
Principle Function:  To provide quality care, both physically and spiritually for ages birth to 24 months.  This ministry is to provide one of the first touches a child has with Jesus Christ and His love for every child.

Responsibilities:
  • Arrive on Sundays at 8:30 a.m. and Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. to begin setting up the nursery.
  • Be responsible to feed, change, and play with each child.
  • Implement a curriculum to better bond with each child as well as speaking and singing the Word of God to them.
  • Praying for the children throughout the week as well as on Sundays and Wednesdays.
  • Making sure parents are informed about their child’s activity in the nursery.
  • Taking out any trash and cleaning up the nursery at the completion of Sundays and Wednesday.
  • Let the Children’s Ministry Director know if there are any needed supplies.
